September 2008 – PRESS RELEASE
SWA training programme – places still available on autumn courses
THE Scottish Wholesale Association’s training programme is picking up pace and there are places available on two of our forthcoming autumn courses.
Recruiting talent is a challenge that all businesses face. Gallaher/JTI has recently completely reviewed the processes that it uses to attract the highest quality people to wholesaling – one of the most challenging and rewarding industries in the FMCG sector.
The company has agreed to host an exclusive workshop that will highlight:
● The importance of creating the right advert to attract the people who will thrive in a highly competitive environment
● The things that really matter to today’s prospective employees
● How you can meet these needs and widen the appeal of your business to the largest possible audience
● How you can increase the quality of staff from an effective recruitment process
Advertising is only part of the process and selection, testing and interviewing are also crucial. This workshop will highlight the very best principles and practical steps that can be taken to make sure that those who are selected are the very best candidates available. Finally, a brief overview of legislation for all prospective employers will be provided.
This Recruitment & Selection workshop takes place on Tuesday, 14 October 2008 at Dunblane Hydro from 10am to 1pm. There is no limit on numbers per member company.
To book places, which cost £30 per person, please contact the training facilitator, Human Capital Services Ltd, by emailing
