Kate Salmon marks 25 years with SWA

ONE of the Scottish wholesale industry’s best-known characters, Kate Salmon, has marked her 25th year with industry trade body, the Scottish Wholesale Association (SWA).

Kate, now executive director of the association and an elected member of the SWA Council, was presented with a special gift by outgoing president Norman Wemyss. He praised her leadership of the association, citing her “enthusiasm, passion and total commitment” among the key reasons for the SWA’s current position of strength and clout within the industry.

Delegates at the 2008 SWA conference at Dunblane expressed their appreciation by giving Kate a rousing standing ovation.
