Have you got your business ready for the XX Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this summer?

Glasgow will play host to the biggest sporting and cultural event Scotland has ever seen with the city welcoming more than 6500 athletes and team officials one million-plus additional visitors for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

At certain times and in certain locations, the transport networks will be very busy coping with the increased demand that hosting the Games will bring.

In addition to the increased number of people using the transport network, a range of changes will be made to how local transport operates in the lead-up to and during the Games. This may include changes to road access, parking availability and public transport.

To help you prepare for the Games, 'Get Ready Glasgow' will be providing information and advice online and through a series of workshops for businesses that may be impacted by the Games.

The 'Get Ready Glasgow' website is a one-stop-shop for businesses to obtain the most up-to-date information about the impact of the Games on the city.

A dedicated Travel Advice for Business team has been established to help businesses with their planning, and this team is running a series of free two-hour workshops that businesses can come along to. The team will explain the planned transport changes for the Games, how these will affect your daily operations and then help you to prepare a Games time travel action plan.

Registration is now open for sessions in April, May and June. For further information and to register, visit www.businesstravel.getreadyglasgow.com.
