The launch of the Scotland Food & Drink Partnership Net Zero Commitment’s Climate Transition Plan marks an important milestone on the journey towards a more sustainable food and drink industry in Scotland.
The Scottish Wholesale Association was delighted to attend the launch and is proud to have supported the development of this industry-led plan.
The Climate Transition Plan sets out a shared pathway to help Scotland’s food and drink sector achieve Net Zero by 2045 while strengthening resilience, innovation and long-term competitiveness.
Its ambitions align closely with SWA’s own work to support the decarbonisation of Scotland’s wholesale sector through the Net Zero Roadmap and Scottish Wholesale Sector Decarbonisation Report. These initiatives provide wholesalers with practical guidance to reduce emissions, improve operational efficiency and build more sustainable supply chains.
SWA is committed to continuing its collaborative work with partners across the food and drink supply chain to help turn ambitions into tangible action and measurable progress.
