Following the recent fire on Union Street in Glasgow, the planned venue for this year's SWA Connex Conference, voco Grand Central Hotel, have announced that they will not re-open in time to host the event.
To ensure that the conference can still go ahead, the SWA team is pleased to confirm that a new venue has been found, and that:
• The conference will proceed on 28 May as planned
• The new venue is the unique and stunning Òran Mór, Glasgow
• The event will run as a one-day conference from 9.00am–5.00pm followed by drinks, canapés and networking in the Fonn Mor piano bar, until 6.30pm
• All speakers and planned content are retained
• The revised format of a drinks and canapes reception gives attendees an enhanced opportunity to network and engage with the wholesale channel, without the formal dinner and potential overnight stay
