Reducing Emissions from Building Energy Use

Emissions from building fuel use – mainly natural gas – contribute 8.6% of wholesale’s total Scope 1 and 2 emissions in Scotland.

Decarbonisation of buildings will require the sector to reduce the amount of fuel used, while also transitioning to low-and no-carbon energy sources.
